History & Overview:
National Spinning Company (NSC), located in Tel Kurdi, Adra, Syria, was established under Investment Law No. 10, license number 184 M.S., dated 28/7/1997, and registered for the owners Hajjar and Company.
National Spinning Company specializes in the production of spun yarn from acrylic fibers. These are typically used for hosiery and weaving trade, with counts ranging from 2/40 to 2/14, double or single. The raw materials consist of special fibers imported specifically for the manufacture of acrylic yarn. To maintain full control of its superior product quality, NSC does not outsource any of its production processes.
National Spinning Company markets includes the USA and England as well as neighboring countries. NSC aims to maintain a 20% export ratio of its total production capacity.
Erection of the NSC's factory premises commenced in July 1994. By August
1997, the company was operating at full capacity of 3500 tons per year. The factory operates 168 hours per week, on a three-shift basis, with a complement of 325 employees.
A board of directors consisting of Syrian and Saudi-Arabian entrepreneurs convenes once in three months to assess company performance and future long-term strategy for local and export markets.
The factory is divided administratively into a number of departments. These include production, logistics, quality control, quality assurance, personnel, sales, information systems, and plant maintenance. Top management includes the chief and vice chief executive officers.
A team of trained specialists is employed, 24 hours per day, consistently checking production to ensure that the yarn produced is of the highest quality, meeting international standards. A system for splicing spun yarn is employed at all production stages in order to ensure a knot-free product, which is extremely beneficial to end users and customers alike. Any deviation from specified criteria is detected and rectified according to checking and testing procedures.
National Spinning Company manages its operations in conformance with the requirements of the quality management system standard ISO 9001:2000.
The scope of the system covers the manufacture and packaging of spun yarn. Nsc is recommended for ISO (001:200 Registration by the British Standard Institute during the initial assessment held in April 2002.
National Spinning Company has extended its factory to more than double the present capacity. The new factory started production in April 2002; the total yearly capacity will be 6500 tons per year.
Production:
The factory currently produces 100% acrylic yarn.
Both single and two ply in regular and high bulk with a count range of final 20 to 40 new metric.
It also has the capability to produce blends I.E. wool/acrylic etc, for all end uses in the knitting, weaving and rachielle printed blanket trade.
With the advent of the commissioning of our new spinning plant at the end of March our count range will be extended to final 14-40 new metric in both single and two-ply.

To fulfill this goal, National Spinning Company attempts to provide its clients with the best service through delivering the right products at the right time. To achieve these objectives, National Spinning Company has established and will maintain an effective quality management system, planned and developed to meet the requirements of the business and those of the ISO9001: 2000 international standard and then the company becomes a qualified to get this testimony.
National Spinning Company has instituted a system for recording, analyzing and reviewing process and production data on a periodic basis. Based on this review, quality objectives are identified, and specific projects aiming at improving quality are implemented in order to achieve continual improvement.
Quality Control System: A team of trained specialists work a round the clock, 24 hours per day, constantly checking the production to ensure that the yarn produced is of the highest quality. Any deviation from the standard is detected and rectified. All results are graphically, meeting the set standard with computer systems for future reference.
Throughout all production stages, the yarns are joined together or spliced to ensure a knot free product which is extremely beneficial to the end users, our customers. Each individual cone is inspected and packaged into cartons ready for dispatch to the customer.
